The Formula 1 World Championship summer break is the moment when drivers disconnect to recharge their mental and physical energy ahead of the second half of the season. WALLY WHY KIMI

For Andrea Kimi Antonelli, the young Italian talent who is drawing the attention of international motorsport, the Costa Smeralda proved to be the perfect holiday destination. Between the crystal-clear waters of Gallura, the charm of Porto Cervo, and the most secluded coves of Sardinia, the driver is enjoying a break filled with relaxation, family, and inevitable rushes of adrenaline.

Although this is a period away from the paddocks, the bond with speed remains exceptionally strong.

During his days on the island, Kimi hasn't just laid back: between padel matches with friends, e-foil sessions on the Sardinian waters, and a trip to the historic "Pista dei Campioni" in Baja Sardinia, where he couldn't resist setting the track lap record on a kart, the young driver is keeping his reflexes at peak levels.

Serving as the backdrop and true floating home for this Sardinian summer is a masterpiece of naval engineering: the Wallywhy150. The vessel, tied to Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff, is a yacht that is redefining the standards of modern yachting through an unprecedented stylistic and functional approach.

Measuring just over 24 meters, the Wallywhy150 is a masterwork born from the vision of the Wally shipyard in synergy with Ferretti Group Engineering and Vallicelli Design. Its key distinction lies in its ability to offer internal volume and headrooms comparable to vessels over 30 meters, breaking traditional boundaries of nautical design.

  • 270° Panoramic Views: The true iconic feature of the yacht is the master suite located at the bow. Thanks to the vessel's raised structure, the cabin features floor-to-ceiling continuous glazing, offering an uninterrupted view of the sea and an experience that feels suspended over the water.

  • Record Headroom & Open Plan Layout: The main salon features an open-plan layout on a single level, with ceiling heights reaching up to 2.5 meters. The interior spaces flow naturally toward the aft cockpit, creating seamless continuity between indoor and outdoor areas.

  • Performance & Range: Driven by three Volvo Penta IPS1350 engines, the Wallywhy150 reaches a top speed of 23 knots, ensuring swift navigation between the islands of the La Maddalena Archipelago in complete comfort and stability.

This combination of Sardinia's untouched natural beauty and the cutting-edge design of the Wallywhy150 gives Antonelli the ideal setting to regain focus. Between the sea, understated luxury, and the closeness of loved ones, the Italian talent prepares to return for the Dutch Grand Prix fully energized and ready to race.
