When Giorgio Armani’s timeless style meets the shipbuilding excellence of Codecasa Shipyards, the result is not just a vessel, but a moving aesthetic manifesto. The M/Y Main, a 65-meter superyacht delivered in 2008, remains one of the highest points of nautical design worldwide, reflecting the philosophy of "understated elegance" that made the Italian designer famous.

A Color Created to "Blend In"
The first thing that strikes you about the M/Y Maìn is her livery. While most superyachts gleam in a blinding white, Armani chose a dark military green for his masterpiece.
"White is too conspicuous," the designer often stated. "I wanted the yacht to be almost invisible, to blend with the sea at night and not disturb the horizon by day."
This chromatic choice, combined with rigorous, angular lines, gives the Maìn a solid and mysterious appearance, far from the baroque opulence of many contemporary yachts.

Design and Interiors: A Villa on the Water
Built entirely of steel and aluminum in Viareggio, the Maìn was designed internally by Armani himself in collaboration with his Armani/Casa team. Every detail is meticulously crafted to maximize comfort without ostentation:
The Color Palette: The interiors follow natural and relaxing tones: grey, beige, and birch, with satin-finish metal inserts.
Innovative Lighting: One of the unique features is the "louvre" style window system. These allow those inside to look out and enjoy natural light while making it nearly impossible to see inside from the exterior, ensuring absolute privacy.
Social Spaces: The yacht features a private cinema, a fully equipped gym, a pool on the main deck, and an expansive sundeck. The six guest cabins are conceived as minimalist and functional luxury hotel suites.

Technical Specifications: Power and Autonomy
Despite the focus on design, the M/Y Main is a formidable navigation machine:
Length: 65 meters (213 feet).
Engines: Two Caterpillar engines producing 2,448 HP each.
Speed: A maximum speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.
Range: She can cover an impressive 6,000 nautical miles without refueling, ideal for transatlantic crossings in total silence, thanks to sophisticated stabilization systems.

The Legacy of the M/Y Main Today
Following the designer's passing in 2025, the Maìn remains a symbol of the Armani family. While new projects signed by the designer with the Admiral shipyard (such as the 72-meter yacht acquired by the Del Vecchio family) sail with new owners, the original Maìn continues to represent the ultimate private sanctuary, held by his heirs as a priceless piece of Italian design history.
