Following the immense success of the Lagoon 46 (with over 700 units produced), the French shipyard updates its best-seller by introducing the Lagoon 47. While the maximum beam (width) remains unchanged at 7.96 meters (26 feet), the new model introduces major evolutions in naval architecture, ergonomics, and living space.

1. Forward Mast Position: A Larger, Brighter Saloon

On the Lagoon 46: The mast was stepped further aft, passing through the middle of the saloon and creating a structural barrier in the main living space.
On the Lagoon 47: The mast has been moved noticeably forward. This design shift delivers two major benefits:
Unobstructed open-plan interior: It creates a completely open saloon and galley, dramatically enhancing the perception of space, natural light, and overall comfort.

2. Watertight Door with Direct Access to the Foredeck

On the Lagoon 46: Reaching the forward lounge required walking along the outer side decks.
On the Lagoon 47: A watertight glass door directly connects the saloon to the 12 m² forward cockpit. This enhances safety while underway and ensures exceptional natural ventilation when anchored.
3. Offset Helm Station on the Flybridge
Lagoon 46: Featured a centralized steering wheel on the flybridge.
Lagoon 47: The helm station has been shifted to the starboard side. This layout separates the working area from the lounge space, allowing the skipper to handle lines without disturbing guests, while providing superior visibility during docking maneuvers.
4. Transverse Berths & The New "Smart Room"
The hull interiors maximize volume through two major layout updates:
Transverse Berths in Cabins: Slighting the beds sideways takes full advantage of the hull width, offering sweeping sea views directly from the mattress through large hull windows.
