How much does a yacht charter cost?
The weekly charter fee covers the yacht, its equipment and the crew. As an example, a week on a 60-ft crewed catamaran in Sardinia is often around €35,000; smaller yachts cost less, and the largest superyachts in our fleet exceed €400,000 a week.
On top of the fee you pay the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance), usually 25–35% of the fee, to cover fuel, food, drinks and harbour fees. The captain accounts for every euro and returns any balance. VAT depends on the country where the charter takes place.

Yacht charter FAQ
What is included in a yacht charter?
The charter fee includes the yacht, its equipment and the crew's wages. Fuel, food, drinks, harbour fees and other running costs are paid through the APA, and VAT is added according to the cruising area.
What is the APA?
The Advance Provisioning Allowance is a deposit, typically 25–35% of the charter fee, paid in advance to cover running costs. The captain keeps a detailed account and any unused balance is returned at the end of the charter.
How far in advance should I book a summer charter?
For July and August the best yachts are often booked months in advance. We recommend starting your search in the autumn or winter before your trip, although last-minute availability does exist.
Can I charter a yacht for just a few days?
Charters are generally a minimum of 7 days, especially in high season. Some yachts accept shorter charters outside the peak months: tell us your dates and we will check.
Do I need sailing experience?
No. Every charter we arrange is crewed: a professional captain and crew sail the yacht, cook and look after you.
