Questions

Greece yacht charter FAQ

Which Greek islands are best for a yacht charter?

For first-timers the Cyclades (Mykonos, Paros, Milos, Santorini) are iconic. For calmer seas and green landscapes choose the Ionian Islands; for a short charter from Athens, the Saronic Gulf.

What is the Meltemi?

The Meltemi is a strong, dry northerly wind that blows in the Aegean mainly in July and August. Experienced captains plan the route around it, and the Ionian Sea is largely unaffected.

Where do Greek yacht charters start?

Most charters start in the Athens area (Piraeus, Lavrio or Alimos), in Mykonos, or in Corfu for the Ionian Islands.
