Yacht charter in Sardinia
Our home waters, from Costa Smeralda to Corsica.
Why Sardinia
The Caribbean of the Mediterranean
Sardinia has some of the clearest water in Europe: granite coves, white-sand beaches and protected marine parks, with the glamour of Porto Cervo just a short cruise away.
Our operations base is in Portisco, on the Costa Smeralda, so this is where we know every anchorage, every restaurant and every wind. A yacht charter in Sardinia lets you combine the Costa Smeralda, the La Maddalena Archipelago and the cliffs of Bonifacio in Corsica in a single week.

Highlights
Unmissable in Sardinia
The places our guests remember long after they disembark.
Costa Smeralda & Porto Cervo
The heart of Mediterranean yachting: chic marina, designer boutiques and beach clubs, with secluded bays minutes away.
La Maddalena Archipelago
A national park of granite islands and impossibly clear water: Spargi, Budelli, Santa Maria and Caprera.
Bonifacio & the Lavezzi Islands
Cross the strait to Corsica for the white limestone cliffs of Bonifacio and the lagoon-like Lavezzi.
Tavolara & Molara
A dramatic limestone island inside a marine protected area, perfect for snorkelling.
Gulf of Orosei
On the east coast, towering cliffs and coves such as Cala Goloritzè, best reached by sea.
South Sardinia
From Cagliari to Villasimius and Chia: long white beaches and a quieter, authentic Sardinia.
From our captains
Our favourite spots in Sardinia
September is our favourite month: warm water, steady weather and quiet anchorages. Our charters usually start from Portisco, Cala dei Sardi or Porto Cervo, and we arrange the La Maddalena National Park permits for you.
Capo Comino
Few boats come here, and a sunken aircraft lies on the seabed within reach of a snorkel.
Marinella
Well sheltered from the Mistral: our first choice on windy days.
Molara
Some of the clearest water in Sardinia, inside the Tavolara marine protected area.
Isola Piana, Corsica
Exceptional water and shallows so low you can walk far out to sea.
Porto Flavia
In the south-west, the spectacular mining port carved into the cliff: a rare stop for those sailing south.
What a Sardinia charter costs
Most of our Sardinia charters cost around €35,000 per week for a crewed catamaran and from around €60,000 for larger yachts. We always quote the price plus VAT, so the total is clear; the APA for running costs is usually 25–35% of the charter fee.

“Adara exceeded all our expectations: from the provisioning before boarding to bookings in hard-to-get places like Bonifacio. When we missed a moka pot on board, they sent a motorboat to bring us one. In more than 13 years of chartering in the Mediterranean, by far the best experience.”

Sardinia yacht charter FAQ
When is the best time for a yacht charter in Sardinia?
The season runs from May to October. July and August are the busiest and liveliest months; June and September offer warm water, fewer crowds and better availability.
Where does a Sardinia yacht charter start?
Most charters start in Olbia or Porto Cervo, close to Olbia airport. Our own base is the marina of Portisco, 20 minutes from Olbia airport. For the south of the island we embark in Cagliari.
How does the Mistral affect a Sardinia charter?
The Mistral blows from the north-west, sometimes for two or three days in a row. Your captain plans around it: on windy days we move to sheltered anchorages on the east coast, such as Marinella, and keep the crossing to Corsica for calmer days.
Catamaran or motor yacht for Sardinia?
A catamaran gives more space, great stability at anchor and lower running costs: ideal for families and relaxed cruising, and the choice for most of our Sardinia charters, at around €35,000 per week. A motor yacht covers distances faster, useful to combine Costa Smeralda, La Maddalena and Corsica in one week; larger yachts start from around €60,000 per week.
How do we get to the yacht from Olbia airport?
Olbia Costa Smeralda airport is about 20 minutes by car from Portisco and about 35 minutes from Porto Cervo. We can arrange a private transfer from the airport or your hotel straight to the yacht.
Can we visit Corsica on a Sardinia charter?
Yes. Bonifacio and the Lavezzi Islands are a short crossing from La Maddalena and are among the highlights of a week in northern Sardinia.
